NBEclipse hangs on 'loading workbench'

Post by tk1390 »

I'm currently trying to install a specific version of NBEclipse (2.5.2) and having issues getting it to launch correctly. At the end of the install process, an error dialog appears stating "Driver installation utility has stopped working". If I try to launch eclipse the application hangs after I select my workspace location at the 'loading workbench' stage.

I am running in a Windows 7 64-bit environment and have also tried running it using a 32-bit command prompt with no luck. A coworker was able to successfully install the application using the same executable. As far tell I can't seem to see a difference.

Other posts seem to not mention any issues during the initial installation of the app.

I've also added java (32-bit) to my path variable. Any further advice?

This does not sound like any standard error that I am familiar with. Check your NBEclipse log file for hints. It will be located in the NBEclipse workspace, under .metadata/.log
