I'm involved in building another instrument with a touch panel. Thanks to Bill Bracken, I decided to take a look at Reach Technology's offerings and so far it has been a much more enjoyable experience than using the Orbital matrix GTT family. Thanks Bill. I wrote up a quick review if anyone else is considering touch panels.
