What does the reset circuit look like on the MOD5270 pcb? Is there a reset chip or does the line go directly to the CF?
I wish to drive the reset in line with a slow RC while I implement a 'Linksys Reset' type circuit (hold the button) and I want to be sure the signal will be cleaned up before it hits the actual CF chip.

The MCF5270 has its own internal reset controller. The RSTI signal is routed to pin N13(reset in) of the processor, J1[28], and J3[7] (the BDM header). It also is connected to a 4.7K pull-up resistor. The RSTO signal comes from the processor pin P13 and goes to the Ethernet PHY, a boot configuration latch, and J1[30].
The only electrical specifications you should be worried about are RSTI of the MCF5270. Take a look at the following document:

We have implemented exactly that kind of circuit for the SB700EX (5270 baseD) and it works just fine.

I think the MOD5270 already has a 4.7K pullup.What you show should work.
