Content Assist stopped working

Post by barttech »

I had gotten pretty enamored with Content Assist (Ctrl-Space). I'm not sure if it is from switching back and forth from Helios to NBEclipse or what, but now I get "No Default Proposals" when I try it. I've poked around in Properties, I have Content Assist on (I think) and Indexing (not sure if that is used or not by CA).
CA still works for me in Helios.
Any suggestions?

Try changing your workspace. This reset's all of the settings to default. If that fixes it, then you know you have a bad setting somewhere.

I had the same issue in the new workspace. I am getting by pretty well with Helios, so maybe this isn't worth chasing, unless someone's had the same problem and knows the fix.
Thanks!

The other usual suspects are missing include paths and running out of index cache memory. As I recall there is also a way to force reindexing. See this forum post for more info on memory settings.

I'm not sure what paths would be missing, it compiles fine. I did Index/Rebuild and Index/Freshen All Files, and have the cache values as recommended. It seems Helios uses the same settings, I can switch between NBEclipse and Helios and change things in one and they persist in the other. CA works in Helios, it used to for me in NBEclipse, but now it doesn't. I'm mostly using Helios, so I guess it doesn't matter now. Thanks for the help.
