SBL2E-200 in RS-485 Half-Duplex
Re: SBL2E-200 in RS-485 Half-Duplex
Regarding one direction, for your outgoing connection are you set to connect at power on, or connect when serial data is available? If serial data available, not that the connection will disconnect per your timeout setting unless data is being sent from the SBL2e often enough to keep the connection open.

Here is a serial tunnel video with that exact configuration:

Re: SBL2E-200 in RS-485 Half-Duplex
HI Tom,
First things first.
1- I will downsize my design to a regular RS-232
2- I will work on my TCP/IP communication (learn more about the different timeout and connection parameter).
3- I will work with the command mode like I design it in the first place. (Changing the outgoing IP adress and controlling it).
4- Then I will go back to the RS-485
Doing that I will go forward in my development, learn a bit more about your product and be more precise in my description.
NOTE: With the regular firmware I was able to communicate in TCP/IP. One side Telnet or Tera Term and the other side the SBL2E witch my Gateway and My Serial application. But It was not possible witch the Firmware update.
Tank’s again
