I am building a project (quadcopter autopilot) using a MOD5213. I will power the module using 5V at PIN 40. I would like to operate a 74LVC245A level shifter (about 1 ma), a gyro accelerometer chip (4 ma), and a MAX3232 RS232 module (about 1MA but may have an LED). The regulator used on the MOD5213 module is nominally rated at 800 ma but I don't know how well it is heatsinked for external loads. How much load can be connected to the 3.3V output?
Thanks!
MOD5213 3.3V external loading
Re: MOD5213 3.3V external loading
Running at 5V my concern would be dropout sag rather than temperature.
You are probably good to at least 150 ma additional.

Thanks - I will make sure the supply remains at 5V.pbreed wrote:Running at 5V my concern would be dropout sag rather than temperature.
