Hello,
Has anyone any ideas as to how I could add a Profibus interface port to an application using a Mod5270 module?
Thanks,
Michael

I see that the MOD5270 development kit board has an RS485 level shifter that comes with it, so running twisted pair cable
for the physical layer interfacing side of it is the easier part.
More of a challenge would be writing the software protocol for the Field bus Data Link layer and the Application layer, which may possibly take a few months to do after debugging it from scratch.
Another popular industry standard Modbus protocol took about the same time to develop through my workplace environment which specialises in energy monitoring.
Kind regards
Paul
