Hello,
I want to ask, if there anybody had some problem to programm MOD5234-100IR via ethernet while its temperature was about -40°C (ca -40°F). Today I tried to do a device temperature test, it was OK, but when I wrote new program into MOD5234, it totally collapsed - no boot text in console, no other function, till the temperature was about -18°C (ca 0°F). After that, it is OK. I tried to restart it 4 or 5 times, but stil - nothing happened. It was turned on, doing nothing, but suddently it was OK again.

Does anybody have any idea?

Thank you,
Jan Mrazek

A few comments:

Measure the 3.3V rail with a calibrated meter and make sure the power is within 5% of 3.3V.
Is your network cable certified to that range?
Any issues with condensing moisture in the RJ-45? Frost?

Hello,
thank you for your answer.

I didn't measure the 3.3V rail, and I hadn't use any certified cable. But - everything was fine for ca 5 minutes (quite a long time) util I tried to download the firmware. The download Itself made from Eclipse was successful !! (if the ethernet cabel had been defective it wouldn't have been successfull), but the device didn't start till the temperature was about -18°C as I wrote already... That is the reason I suspect the module, not the equpment. However, if I do the test next time, I will use the certified cable and I will measure the 3.3V rail. These are good points.
