Virtual Comm: sec_AddConnectionToService failed with error - 50

I've upgraded our Virtual Comm software from 2.1 to 2.53 and now I cannot create a new connection.
We use this in conjunction with 2 SBL2eX-100IR's for polling serial devices.
I've disabled AV, verified no issues with permissions via event log, and confirmed the service is installed and running.
I've tried re-installing just to make sure, I've tried running it as administrator (Though it shouldn't need it as the service is the only one i see that would need elevated privileges.)

Only thing to note is the log C:\nburn\VirtualCommPort\sec_service.log shows the following:

2/13/2024 1:07:03 PM [4] ------------------------------------
2/13/2024 1:07:03 PM [5] start service
2/13/2024 1:07:03 PM [6] ------------------------------------
2/13/2024 1:07:03 PM [7] Your license has expired.
2/13/2024 1:07:08 PM [8] GUI connected

Any help would be appreciated, besides this we love the netburners.

There was a big change in the back end service between those two releases. The license method changed completely. I'm concerned that either your service or the configuration files did not get removed and you may be running portions of both versions. The new install should have uninstalled the previous service. Did you notice any messages like that when running the install? Could you try uninstalling completely and reinstalling the 2.53 version?

Do you have another PC you can try this on? (Just for verification purposes)

When I performed the upgrade, I uninstalled the previous version before installing the new version for fear something like this might happen.

Sometimes permissions, rights, antivirus, etc, can interfere with a service uninstall. Uninstall again, then look at the windows services. Do you see any of the following:
sec_service
Electronic Team
Eltima

Forrest may know of others, but this would be a good start.

Well, good news and bad news, after re-installing it for the 4th time it started working.
Now for some reason, the net burner device in the field quit working. But that's an easy fix for us, reboot it, if it doesn't come back, buy a new one. :)

Thank you all for your help.
