I've recently started working with the MODM7AE70 and I would like to use the CAN bus functionality to interface with external components. I'm not able to find a single reference to any CAN bus code in the examples folder, nor can I find the canif.h I see referenced in some threads here on the forum. Is there a driver available for using CANbus on the MODM7AE70, has anybody been successful in getting this working?

If you do not see an example that you are looking for, please contact NetBurner support directly. They may have examples that are not published.

I am also confused. After reading this article on your blog I also got the impression, that CAN is ready to use on your modules:

So what is the current situation? How about reference designs with CAN transceivers?
Thanks,
Anguel

Pretty much any can tranceiver will work...
CAN TX, CAN RX power and ground, four wires...
Try searching for a SN65HVD230
I found one on a break out board form Amazon....
Just 4 wires.
The MODM7 has a CAN examples in the latest 3.X releases...

Hm, I have the 3.1 and don't find anything about CAN, now I looked at the 3.3 files and don't see anything CAN related there:

Thanks for the info about the transceivers.
