I have just found that I was no longer watching the "Application Notes and Design Ideas" Forum. I had to start watching it again by visiting the forum and adding it to my watch list.
I have not received any email notifications for a coupe of days, and for a couple of weeks before that I was getting two types of notification, one telling me that a post had been made and requiring me to visit the forum to view the post, another which contained the content of the post itself. The first type of notification did not occur for every new post, even though I followed the link in the email to view the post as the email says that until I view the post I won't receive any more notifications.
Before the update, I would simply get an email for each post, containing the post, and I would never have to visit the forum at all. This is the way I would prefer to use the forum.
